ABOUT:

A versatile and easy to wear French antique ring with chunky old mine cut diamond with high crown cropping out of the ring face. The .5 carat diamond is set in a full bezel setting with sturdy domed shoulders leading up to the ring face.

Low profile design - Makes a timeless and comfortable engagement ring, adds geometry and sparkle to a ring stack. It layers really wonderfully with other pieces. And ready to be worn every day with the diamond set in the sturdy bezel.

Found in France with their hallmark for 18k and a goldsmith stamp.

Antique box not included. Please note the measurements as I have small hands and it can be difficult to decipher scale from photos.

MEASUREMENTS:
Size: 5 1/2, slightly snug.
Ring face: 5.3mm diameter and 3.8mm tall off the finger.
Weight: 3.6g.
The diamond is about 4.8mm, a chunky cut with high crown and widens out further an unknown amount in the bezel setting so it is difficult to determine measurements but it is around half a carat / 0.5ct. This is an estimate as I would not remove the stone from the setting for exact measurements.

IMPORTANT CONDITION NOTES:
Just one needle inclusion seen under magnification. The girdle edge is uneven in one spot pushed right against the bezel. It may be small chips but I actually think they are indented natural inclusions at the girdle that were just polished around. The diamond still appears complete and fills the space, it is just uneven / unpolished in that areal. This is slightly eye visible when studying the girdle edge where it meets the bezel close up from the side. A fun one to layer and stack. Sturdy piece, ready to wear.

Please note that all my pieces are pre-owned and in estate condition. They will have patina, surface wear, a few small nicks. These pieces may also have evidence of a sizing, some build up around the stones and / or inclusions seen under magnification, typical for antique pieces. I have mentioned any noticeable issues above and they are all still wearable and eager to be loved and accepted for many years to come, (the preservation of antique jewelry, even those with signs of their age and history, is important to me. : )
But - Please note due to age, this piece is not in mint condition. Pictures also serve as part of the description and condition report so please utilize the zoom feature which will magnify any wear significantly more than what is visible to the eye while wearing : )
