The every day impactful stacker band - vintage setting, 1.65 carat worth of antique diamonds! I love this one!

Such a unique vintage setting with the gold band which widens up taller at the face, to which is applied the five antique old mine cut diamonds, some of which are eye clean! Always a joy to find such nice quality in antique stones.

These chunky old cuts crop out of the face of the band, and splay gracefully across the top, their extra sturdy platinum prongs allowing the stones to pop up to catch the light. Said prongs also make this one ready for daily wear, and the height makes it awesome to stack. It would layer well with gold, platinum or white gold bands, or even other diamond bands.

Something about the setting makes me think of an ornate crown on the finger when you view it at eye level.

The five diamonds graduate in size, probably a custom made piece with the stones being heirloom diamonds or antique stones from another piece, reset in the vintage period as the setting just doesn't have the trademarks of an antique piece with as sturdy as it is.

Layers well with other pieces. Found in Paris with French hallmarks for 18k gold, platinum and a goldsmith stamp.

Please note the detailed measurements that I always provide, as I have small fingers and it can be difficult to determine scale from pictures where I am required to show zoomed in detail. Antique box not included.

SIZE & MEASUREMENTS:
Size 6.
The band is 6.7mm north south at the face of the ring. About 6.7mm off the finger with a nice dome to the gold work. Weight is a sturdy 5.9 grams.

The center diamond is about 5.2mm and a little over half a carat, the flanking two about 4.5 & 4.3mm (.38 and .4 - the smaller stone being a chunky cut which gives it a higher carat weight) and the end stones about 3.3mm each / .18 carat). I do not remove stones from antique settings for exact measurements but estimates to about 1 2/3 carat or 1.65tdw.

IMPORTANT CONDITION NOTES:

Four of the five stones are eye clean with only faint inclusions seen only under strong magnification. One stone has some little frosty squiggles at the culet which are not visible to my eyes which are in their forties, but may be detectable if seeking them out. Nothing glaring while wearing. You might notice what looks like a difference in hues to the outside stones. This is due to the fact that the setting splays outward so only the center stone faces up perpendicular to eye view, so you are viewing the others through the sides of the crown facets. Once you move the hand to view the sides stone face up, they once again match the center stone. None of the stones move, the platinum prongs are extra sturdy/ excellent. The shank is also very stable. This one is ready for daily wear.

Please note that all my pieces are pre-owned and in estate condition. They will have patina, surface wear, a few small nicks. These pieces may also have evidence of a sizing, some build up around the stones and / or inclusions seen under magnification, typical for antique pieces. I have mentioned any noticeable issues above and they are all still wearable and eager to be loved and accepted for many years to come, (the preservation of antique jewelry, even those with signs of their age and history, is important to me. : )
But - Please note due to age, this piece is not in mint condition. Pictures also serve as part of the description and condition report so please utilize the zoom feature which will magnify any wear significantly more than what is visible to the eye while wearing : )
