ABOUT:

Striking pop of color to this oval French antique ring. I love the way the vibrant fuchsia pink ruby is situated east west. It is also wonderful to see the stone in excellent condition.

This antique piece that I purchased in France is crafted in 18k gold with trefoil cutouts at each shoulder. It is topped at the shoulders in a white precious metal with milgrain details.

The center stone is a synthetic ruby, a very popular choice for the period.

Antique box not included. Please note the measurements as I have small fingers and it can be difficult to determine scale from pictures.

HALLMARKS:
French hallmark for 18k gold with a goldsmith stamp.

SIZE & MEASUREMENTS:

Size 6. The stone measures about 10x8mm.

It weighs 2.4 grams.

IMPORTANT CONDITION NOTES:
The stone moves in the four double pronged setting where it can click when you tap it or rattle a bit if you shake it aggressively. The stone is secure because there is enough length to them to hold the stone on all sides. The stone is excellent, showing little to no wear with excellent sheen and polish. It appears as new so this one was either stored away, new old stock, or the stone was replaced as the condition of it is amazing.

Please note that all my pieces are pre-owned and in estate condition. They will have patina, surface wear, a few small nicks. These pieces may also have evidence of a sizing, some build up around the stones and / or inclusions seen under magnification, typical for antique pieces. I have mentioned any noticeable issues above and they are all still wearable and eager to be loved and accepted for many years to come, (the preservation of antique jewelry, even those with signs of their age and history, is important to me. : )
But - Please note due to age, this piece is not in mint condition. Pictures also serve as part of the description and condition report so please utilize the zoom feature which will magnify any wear significantly more than what is visible to the eye while wearing : )
