ABOUT:

A fun French vintage buff top ruby ring where the top is smooth like a cabochon, flush with the ring face but the underside is faceted to catch the light and reflect a glow from within. Really striking color to the ruby which I assume is synthetic and listing as such.

Eye catching size and form that adds a fun shape and color to a ring stack. With the stone flush set, it is very comfortable to wear because running your finger over it feels like running over a solid gold signet since there is no stone cropping out.

This one could actually be unisex as many men favored ruby rings in previous generations.

French hallmark or 18k gold with a maker's stamp.

Please note the measurements as I have small fingers and the pictures can make it difficult to see scale.
Antique box is not included.

SIZE & MEASUREMENTS:

Size: 9 1/2. It is 8mm north to south on the finger and stands 4mm tall off the finger.
The piece weighs 5g. The ruby is 9x7mm

IMPORTANT CONDITION NOTES:

Nary a nick, the top is perfectly polished and glossy with no damage. The gold is a glowing high shine as well, seems hardly worn.

There are no dark spots to the gold, it was just difficult to photograph because it is so shiny and mirrored that it reflects its surroundings.

Please note that all my pieces are pre-owned and in estate condition. They will have patina, surface wear, a few small nicks. These pieces may also have evidence of a sizing, some build up around the stones and / or inclusions seen under magnification, typical for antique pieces. I have mentioned any noticeable issues above and they are all still wearable and eager to be loved and accepted for many years to come, (the preservation of antique jewelry, even those with signs of their age and history, is important to me. : )
But - Please note due to age, this piece is not in mint condition. Pictures also serve as part of the description and condition report so please utilize the zoom feature which will magnify any wear significantly more than what is visible to the eye while wearing : )
