ABOUT:

This is a unique combination five stone and gypsy band. At the center of the sturdy, domed band is a cutout where the five diamonds are flush set. They crop out from the middle of the band to make a comfortable stacker with sparkle, geometry and buttery gold. Makes a great pinky ring!

The five diamonds graduate in size, the center being an antique old mine cut, flanked by round brilliant cuts. Probably a custom made piece with the center stone being an heirloom diamond or antique stone from another piece, reset in the vintage period with the brilliant cut stones.

Layers well with other pieces. Found in France with their hallmarks for 18k gold and a goldsmith stamp.

Please note the detailed measurements that I always provide, as I have small fingers and it can be difficult to determine scale from pictures where I am required to show zoomed in detail. Antique box not included.

SIZE & MEASUREMENTS:
Size 4 1/4 a little over. Best to discuss sizing with your local jeweler to determine their comfort level with the stones set into the ring face in this way.

The band is 7mm north south at the face of the ring. About 3.5mm off the finger with a nice dome to the gold work. Weight is a sturdy 5 grams.

The center diamond is about 4.2mm and about .34 carat, the flanking two about 2.7mm and the end stones about 2.3mm each. I do not remove stones from antique settings for exact measurements but estimates to about 0.6 carat.

IMPORTANT CONDITION NOTES:

The largest center diamond has faint natural inclusions, very slightly eye visible including one small warm silk inclusion but this is not glaringly seen while wearing. The others have less visible with more faceting, one of the end stones is a bit frosty under magnification. Nothing glaring while wearing. None of the stones move. The shank is sturdy.

Please note that all my pieces are pre-owned and in estate condition. They will have patina, surface wear, a few small nicks. These pieces may also have evidence of a sizing, some build up around the stones and / or inclusions seen under magnification, typical for antique pieces. I have mentioned any noticeable issues above and they are all still wearable and eager to be loved and accepted for many years to come, (the preservation of antique jewelry, even those with signs of their age and history, is important to me. : )
But - Please note due to age, this piece is not in mint condition. Pictures also serve as part of the description and condition report so please utilize the zoom feature which will magnify any wear significantly more than what is visible to the eye while wearing : )
