ABOUT:
This one is so me! I love floral and leaf jewelry. I love French jewelry. I love the Art Nouveau movement. And I love old cut diamonds. This piece is encompasses all of those. I've had a few of these Belle Epoque necklaces but my favorite thing about this one is the dangling 6mm oval rose cut diamond that catches the light and sparkles amidst the halo of forget me not garland.

Delicious glowing gold work with figural design of flowers and leaves and ribbons - the patina and texture is just amazing. The ornate chain links and extra safety chain at the back lead down to the floral links with bezel set rose cut diamond spacers culminating in the center dangle.

Beautiful rich antique patina to the 18k gold with multiple French hallmarks on the loop of the clasp and catch indicating all parts are solid 18k gold. Wonderful glow and amazing figural detail with a very legible and striking design.

Antique boxes / items in displays in photos are not included. Please note the measurements as I have small hands and it can be difficult to decipher scale from photos.

MEASUREMENTS:
It weighs 8.4g of solid 18k gold. Stretched end to end it's 19 inches. The oval diamond is 6mm x 4.5mm and the halo of garland around it is 22x18mm to give you an idea of scale.

Like most rose cuts they have a lower comparative carat weight than a modern diamond but the surface area gives it the appearance of a larger carat stone. A modern oval diamond with these measurements measures .5 to .6 carat for comparison's sake.

IMPORTANT CONDITION NOTES:
Typical antique diamond with some small natural inclusions that are very slightly eye visible but overall a clean and bright sparkle.
Lovely patina.

Please note that all my pieces are pre-owned and in estate condition. They will have patina, surface wear, a few small nicks. These pieces may also have evidence of a sizing, some build up around the stones and / or inclusions seen under magnification, typical for antique pieces. I have mentioned any noticeable issues above and they are all still wearable and eager to be loved and accepted for many years to come, (the preservation of antique jewelry, even those with signs of their age and history, is important to me. : )
But - Please note due to age, this piece is not in mint condition. Pictures also serve as part of the description and condition report so please utilize the zoom feature which will magnify any wear significantly more than what is visible to the eye while wearing : )
