ABOUT:
Substantial vintage chain that has a wonderful shimmer. The links are curb links that lie flat against the decollette and graduate in size getting larger in the middle and tapering to smaller but still substantial towards the back.

This piece is crafted 18k solid gold, which has a buttery glow. It is in really nice condition with no dings or bends or ripples!

I purchased this in France but it was made in Italy. It has the numerical 750 stamp for 18k gold on both sides of the clasp.

Antique boxes / items in displays in photos are not included. Please note the measurements as I have small hands and it can be difficult to decipher scale from photos.

MEASUREMENTS:
It weighs a sturdy 25.1g of solid 18k gold. Stretched end to end it's 18 inches. The chain links are 11.5mm in the center graduating down to by 5.7mm at the smallest end links.

IMPORTANT CONDITION NOTES:

The links were made by curving thick solid gold towards their inside edge so there is some vacant space inside the links but they are quite sturdy, not tinny or flimsy feeling. Under magnification you can see the seam inside the links with a slight gap, I think this was how it was made. There are no dings or dents so the gold even though the piece was clearly worn over the vintage period so we know they used thick gold to prevent those dings and dents. Just surface wear and scratches that can catch the light due to the glowing, shiny mirrored finish, Lovely patina.

Please note that all my pieces are pre-owned and in estate condition. They will have patina, surface wear, a few small nicks. These pieces may also have evidence of a sizing, some build up around the stones and / or inclusions seen under magnification, typical for antique pieces. I have mentioned any noticeable issues above and they are all still wearable and eager to be loved and accepted for many years to come, (the preservation of antique jewelry, even those with signs of their age and history, is important to me. : )
But - Please note due to age, this piece is not in mint condition. Pictures also serve as part of the description and condition report so please utilize the zoom feature which will magnify any wear significantly more than what is visible to the eye while wearing : )
