ABOUT:

This is a unique one because skinny navette ring face is set at an angle do add a fun geometry to a ring stack. The "little boat" ring face holds 13 rose cut diamonds in the cluster, in a mix of sizes. I purchased this in Barcelona.

Interesting shape and setting with the lovely glitter of the little diamonds.

Looking inside the ring face it appears the piece once had a closed and foiled back that has since by opened to let the light pass through. It was like this when I purchased it and this is one type of alteration that does not bother me when it comes to antiques, because removing the closed backs can often brighten the stones considerably in addition to making the piece easier to wear as it can get wet and be cleaned more easily.

Found in Spain.

No hallmarks remain but sold to me as 18k and tested to confirm. It has a rich warmth to it from age and patina.

Please note the measurements as I have small fingers and it can be difficult to determine scale from pictures. Antique box is not included.

MEASUREMENTS:
Size 5 3/4
The ring face is about 19x4mm. The stones are 1.5 to 3mm each.
It weighs 1.95 grams.

IMPORTANT CONDITION NOTES:

All the stones appear a bit frosty. Some is from a bit of build up to the hard to reach backs but they all have rough edges, some unpolished areas, some nibbles and small chips. They may have always been that way as they were rough cut by hand and they are very small so they often tend to look this way on pieces of this age. Just meant to add a bit of texture and a glint of sparkle. Fun to wear with the unique little angle of the design!

These pieces may also have evidence of a sizing, some build up around the stones and / or inclusions seen under magnification, typical for antique pieces. I have mentioned any noticeable issues above and they are all still wearable and eager to be loved and accepted for many years to come, (the preservation of antique jewelry, even those with signs of their age and history, is important to me. : )
But - Please note due to age, this piece is not in mint condition. Pictures also serve as part of the description and condition report so please utilize the zoom feature which will magnify any wear significantly more than what is visible to the eye while wearing : )
