ABOUT:

I love panel / grid / lozenge rings (what's your favorite way to refer to these?) and this is such a fun one because it Curves to hug and slope across the top of the finger. Haven't had one like this as they are usually flat like a platform. I just think it's such a unique look. This one has a great geometry with the kite shape situated ring face set with 9 well matched old mine cut diamonds totaling around 1 1/4 carat. They are set in bead prongs giving the ring face a wonderful texture. And with the curve, it props up the crowns of the old mine cuts making it fun to view from all angles. I love this one.

Found in France. No hallmarks remain which is common for French pieces as they are marked in the back and often lost during a sizing or from wear. But sold to me from a reputable source in France where the standard is 18k and tested to confirm.

Please note the measurements as I have small fingers and it can be difficult to determine scale from pictures. Antique box is not included.

MEASUREMENTS:
Size 8 1/2.

The diamonds are each about 3mm give or take and well matching. The ring face is 16mm north south and east west. The piece weighs 3.7 grams.

CONDITION NOTES:

Some of the diamonds are eye clean and some have some faint natural inclusions. No dark or carbon specks. One of the corner stones has some linear crystal inclusions that can reflect around the stone, slightly eye visible, the others even less so, so nothing glaring. One worn prong here or there to keep an eye on over time but none of the stones move.

Please note that all my pieces are pre-owned and in estate condition. They will have patina, surface wear, a few small nicks. These pieces may also have evidence of a sizing, some build up around the stones and / or inclusions seen under magnification, typical for antique pieces. I have mentioned any noticeable issues above and they are all still wearable and eager to be loved and accepted for many years to come, (the preservation of antique jewelry, even those with signs of their age and history, is important to me. : )
But - Please note due to age, this piece is not in mint condition. Pictures also serve as part of the description and condition report so please utilize the zoom feature which will magnify any wear significantly more than what is visible to the eye while wearing : )
