ABOUT:

A romantic octagonal French antique medal / pendant in 18k two tone gold with rose floral designs above and below a rectangular blank cartouche that is contrasted in white gold. The front cartouche and the back are blank and ready to engrave if desired.

Wonderful patina and coloring with the sweet floral details mixed with the antique Art Deco geometry. Found in France, their love medals and good luck charms are fun to collect, mix and match. French hallmark for 18k gold with a goldsmith stamp.

The rose motif was popular in olden times in jewelry as it represents love, romance and passion.

Antique props, chain, etc. not included. Please note the measurements as I have small hands and it is difficult to show scale in the photos with the zoom that is required for detail.

IMPORTANT CONDITION NOTES:
There is a spot on the white gold cartouche that I could not get to polish out although I confess I didn't spend much time on it. Many always prefer original patina. Other than that -
No dings, better than most condition. Some surface scratches, all more notable on the areas with the mirrored finish. These sometimes have some curves or pin dings : ) but this one is excellent.

Beautiful rich antique patina. I noticed some of the photos in the warm morning sun reflected a sort of brassy hue which is not indicative of the piece. The cover photo is a more true to life indication of the color.

Please note that all my pieces are pre-owned and in estate condition. They will have patina, surface wear, a few small nicks. These pieces may also have evidence of a sizing, some build up around the stones and / or inclusions seen under magnification, typical for antique pieces. I have mentioned any noticeable issues above and they are all still wearable and eager to be loved and accepted for many years to come, (the preservation of antique jewelry, even those with signs of their age and history, is important to me. : )
But - Please note due to age, this piece is not in mint condition. Pictures also serve as part of the description and condition report so please utilize the zoom feature which will magnify any wear significantly more than what is visible to the eye while wearing : )
