ABOUT:

Fabulous and versatile piece to wear layered, alone, long or doubled with an extender. This vintage to antique station chain is crafted in 18k gold and set with glowing blue sapphires that have flatter topes and domed faceted backs. They have the most wonderful coloring - a true royal blue. It's just lovely. They reflect the light for a gorgeous pop of color from within, while alternating with the shimmering gold bezels and chain links. And so fun to incorporate into a neckmess because it can be worn so many different ways.

I am not sure how old it is, the stamps seem to be an older font and it has some light wear so it clearly has some age to it. I was told the sapphires are likely synthetic, a popular choice in the early 1900s.

Found in France. The loop is stamped 18K and the dog clip clasp has French control hallmarks for 18k gold. It is quite worn but I have seen it so many times I could decipher it. Some rosy hues from age and patina.

MEASUREMENTS:
It weighs 7.2 grams. It is 25 inches long. Each of the many little sapphires is about 5x4mm.

IMPORTANT CONDITION NOTES:

No notable damage, it's beautiful. The stones are in excellent condition with hardly any nicks and a very nice sheen and polish.

Please note that all my pieces are pre-owned and in estate condition. They will have patina, surface wear, a few small nicks. These pieces may also have evidence of a sizing, some build up around the stones and / or inclusions seen under magnification, typical for antique pieces. I have mentioned any noticeable issues above and they are all still wearable and eager to be loved and accepted for many years to come, (the preservation of antique jewelry, even those with signs of their age and history, is important to me. : )
But - Please note due to age, this piece is not in mint condition. Pictures also serve as part of the description and condition report so please utilize the zoom feature which will magnify any wear significantly more than what is visible to the eye while wearing : )
