ABOUT:

A glowing collet set moonstone pendant. This looks like it might have been a clasp at one time? It has an opening to the gallery on one side. On the back there is a swirling rat tail loop that serves as the bale to slide it on to a chain.

This antique piece is crafted in 18k gold (tested) with the moonstone set in a silver collet. It has an open back and lovely glow. The stone reads as gray, but and has a beautiful glow from within where there are some subtle flashes of blue. A couple of the pics seem to make it appear more blue than it reads in real life, this one is not as blue as the snake and moon man items so please refer to all the pics to get an idea of how it reacts in various light.

Please note the measurements as I have small fingers and it can be difficult to determine scale from pictures. Some of my buyers "draw out" an example to get an idea of scale in person.

Antique Boxes, props, hooks, chains, mice : ) not included. I just used a staging chain to show examples of how to wear but listing is for the snake with attached dog clip.

SIZE & MEASUREMENTS:

It weighs 2 grams. 15mm to the top of the loop by 12mm wide by 6.5mm deep. The moonstone is about 9.2mm in diameter.

IMPORTANT CONDITION NOTES:

As mentioned there is an opening on one side of the gallery. Some patina to the silver and some uneven areas as well, not sure if it is solder, but the piece is sturdy and does not appear to have been repaired..
The moonstone has a wonderful sheen and gorgeous glow. Sturdy and ready for regular wear.

Please note that all my pieces are pre-owned and in estate condition. They will have patina, surface wear, a few small nicks. These pieces may also have evidence of a sizing, some build up around the stones and / or inclusions seen under magnification, typical for antique pieces. I have mentioned any noticeable issues above and they are all still wearable and eager to be loved and accepted for many years to come, (the preservation of antique jewelry, even those with signs of their age and history, is important to me. : ) There are no dark spots to the gold, it was just difficult to photograph because it is so shiny and mirrored that it reflects its surroundings including the green trees out the window.
But - Please note due to age, this piece is not in mint condition. Pictures also serve as part of the description and condition report so please utilize the zoom feature which will magnify any wear significantly more than what is visible to the eye while wearing : )
