Personal collection release - I was really drawn to the wonderful coloring on this one - with the pink hues to the rose cut diamonds and the beautiful rose gold setting - this one is beautiful alone but also layers well with other pieces.

This unique rose cut diamond three stone ring is crafted in rosy 14k gold with old Dutch hallmarks. The sturdy shank holds three rose cut diamonds that are collet set in foil backed settings then held in prongs. The diamonds have a lovely brightness and sparkle but also special in that the foil back has aged to provide a lovely pink blush which gives the diamonds a peachy pink hue which in my opinion makes the piece even more special. Even in ambient light as I look at it now, the color is eye visible. Also nice in that there are no dark or rusty spots.

Diamond rings from this period are often constructed in silver collets but this piece is all gold - really pretty colors to it.

Please note the measurements as I have small fingers and the pictures can make it difficult to see scale. Antique box is not included.

SIZE & MEASUREMENTS:

Size 6 3/4. The ring face is 5.4mm north south and 4.8mm tall of the finger. The three diamonds span 15mm east west. The center diamond is about 4.5mm with the adjacent diamonds 4mm each. This is just the measurement of the visible portion of the diamonds, as they likely widen out some into the collets which curve up and over the girdles of the stones. So exact size and thereby carat weight is unknown as I would never deconstruct and remove them but just using online estimates by millimeter, I am getting at least half a carat total weight in diamonds.

The piece weighs 2.2 grams.

IMPORTANT CONDITION NOTES:

Wonderful patina to the soft rose gold. The diamonds look beautiful with their faint hue with no dark carbon inclusions or rusty, muddy or brown spots. Typical antique diamonds with a few faint needle inclusions, and some very slight cloudy or frosty spotting here or there around the outline seen under magnification. Also typical a rough girdle edge here or there hidden right against the collet so again seen only under magnification. Considering age, I love how this piece looks.

Please note that all my pieces are pre-owned and in estate condition. They will have patina, surface wear, a few small nicks. These pieces may also have evidence of a sizing, some build up around the stones and / or inclusions seen under magnification, typical for antique pieces. I have mentioned any noticeable issues above and they are all still wearable and eager to be loved and accepted for many years to come, (the preservation of antique jewelry, even those with signs of their age and history, is important to me. : )
But - Please note due to age, this piece is not in mint condition. Pictures also serve as part of the description and condition report so please utilize the zoom feature which will magnify any wear significantly more than what is visible to the eye while wearing : )
