ABOUT:

Elegant plain locket with no designs or engravings and a gorgeous, rich antique yellow gold patina. This very early 1900s piece has the most wonderful satin sheen and deep yellow gold glow. Reversible with both sides having the sleek matte finish which helps mask the wear. Comes as shown With the chain which is also antique. The locket could even be personalized or engraved by your jeweler if desired - nice to find one in such excellent condition with no deep dings or dents.

The chain is stamped 10k on the trombone clasp and insert and the locket is stamped inside: "Patented Gold" and tests at 10k which is also what the estate jeweler who sold it to me reported.

Antique boxes, pendants / displays and any additional items in photos are not included. Please note the measurements as I have small hands and it can be difficult to decipher scale from photos.

MEASUREMENTS:
The locket is 1 inch in diameter. The chain is 17 inches in length.
Weight is 8.8 grams.

IMPORTANT CONDITION NOTES:

Some slightly cloudy areas to the gold around the rim from age, but this one is in about as good of condition as I could ever find when it comes to antique lockets. Still, do consider that it is 100 years old : )

Please note that all my pieces are pre-owned and in estate condition. They will have patina, surface wear, a few small nicks. These pieces may also have evidence of a sizing, some build up around the stones and / or inclusions seen under magnification, typical for antique pieces. I have mentioned any noticeable issues above and they are all still wearable and eager to be loved and accepted for many years to come, (the preservation of antique jewelry, even those with signs of their age and history, is important to me. : )
But - Please note due to age, this piece is not in mint condition. Pictures also serve as part of the description and condition report so please utilize the zoom feature which will magnify any wear significantly more than what is visible to the eye while wearing : )
