ABOUT:

Interesting 14k, rosy gold signet ring with oval shield shaped face with the word "AMOR" for "Love" across the ring face. The multi band shank is made of three linear strips of gold connected and there are additional black enamel bands on the shoulders. Very striking design. The back of the ring face is hollow.

I acquired this antique piece in France. No hallmarks remain but sold to me from a reputable dealer as 14k and tests as such.

SIZE & MEASUREMENTS:
It is a size 9, sizable by your local jeweler. The shield shape is 17mm by 7.5mm. It is pretty lightweight, weighing 2.25 grams, the gold work is a bit thin but it covers a large area so it is eye catching.

IMPORTANT CONDITION NOTES:

All my pieces are preowned and in estate condition. When you catch the signet face in a reflection you can see a few scratches due to the mirrored finish there. A few areas of loss to the enamel on the letting but it is still very legible. Some loss to the enamel on one shoulder. The band is a little out of round and it is thin so it feels blunt on the edges and even flexes slightly with pressure but it seems sturdy enough for the gentle wear that these very old pieces require. Uniform surface wear. It is a very unique and interesting piece, fun to wear and stack.
