ABOUT:
When I see this one, I think "what a bauble!" Something about the way the domed ring face is propped up to stand off the finger with the chunky old mine cuts... it's so fun to wear! With a total carat weight of around 1.6 carats, the wonderful antique sparkle catches the eye. The underside of the tall ring face is also decorated with triangular cutouts for interest at all angles.

The tall setting is attention grabbing, but yet still comfortable to wear with the domed circular ring face and flush set diamonds. It doesn't catch on anything so those chunky knit sweater weaves are safe with this old beauty!

French antique piece crafted in 18k white gold and platinum. Faint French hallmarks remain but they are difficult to decipher.

Antique box is not included. Please note the measurements as I have small fingers and it can be difficult to determine scale from photos.

SIZE & MEASUREMENTS:

Size 6. The ring face is 12mm in diameter. It stands 7mm off the finger. It weighs 4 grams.

The center diamond is about 4.5mm and about .4 carat alone. The rest are about 3.5mm to 3.7mm each give or take, for a total carat weight of around 1.6 carat. Note - exact depths in the setting are unknown as I would never remove them so this is an estimation.

IMPORTANT CONDITION NOTES:

Typical antique diamonds with some natural inclusions and slightly warm hues. Two have indented natural inclusions that carry up to the surface. One stone has a shallow flake of loss leaving an unpolished area in one area of the outside facets. The stones all still appear complete and fill the setting but you can see the texture difference if you really study it up close or under magnification with the surface in a reflection to see the unpolished area. They all have at least some natural inclusion with one stone appearing a bit cloudy or frosty overall. No dark or glaring carbon spots. These are just typical quirks that we see in these one of a kind hand cut antique stones that were produced in a much more limited supply compared to the millions of carats of modern machine cut diamonds produced each year now. But because of this, I did price it appropriately, at only slightly over what I paid.

Please note that all my pieces are pre-owned and in estate condition. They will have patina, surface wear, a few small nicks. These pieces may also have evidence of a sizing, some build up around the stones and / or inclusions seen under magnification, typical for antique pieces. I have mentioned any noticeable issues above and they are all still wearable and eager to be loved and accepted for many years to come, (the preservation of antique jewelry, even those with signs of their age and history, is important to me. : )
But - Please note due to age, this piece is not in mint condition. Pictures also serve as part of the description and condition report so please utilize the zoom feature which will magnify any wear significantly more than what is visible to the eye while wearing : )
