ABOUT:

Classic antique three stone old mine cut diamond ring in 18k gold. It is set with the old mine cut diamonds totaling around 0.6 carat. Layers well with other pieces. This is a French piece with their antique hallmark used primarily in the 1800s for 18k gold and discontinued by the early 1900s.

Please note the measurements as I have small fingers and it can be difficult to determine scale from the pics.

Antique boxes, props, staircases and bannisters ; ) not included.

MEASUREMENTS:
Size 6. Ring face is 4.7mm tall of the finger. It weighs 2.4 grams.

Exact depths of the diamonds and thereby exact carat weight is unknown / approximate as I would not remove them but the center diamond is about 4.2mm with the flanking diamonds 3.5mm each with chunkier cuts / higher crowns for a total of around .6 carat.

IMPORTANT CONDITION NOTES:

A worn back prong here and there but enough remain to hold each diamond sturdily so this is just something to keep an eye on over time (as in years and years). Typical antique diamonds with some faint natural inclusions seen mostly under magnification and only one linear silk inclusion slightly eye visible (not to my eyes which are in their 40s! : ). No dark carbon spots. Rub marks and wear to the gallery as it appears to have been stacked with a band or wrap for most of its life. It is not as evident while wearing the piece.

Please note that all my pieces are pre-owned and in estate condition. They will have patina, surface wear, a few small nicks. These pieces may also have evidence of a sizing, some build up around the stones and / or inclusions seen under magnification, typical for antique pieces. I have mentioned any noticeable issues above and they are all still wearable and eager to be loved and accepted for many years to come, (the preservation of antique jewelry, even those with signs of their age and history, is important to me. : )
But - Please note due to age, this piece is not in mint condition. Pictures also serve as part of the description and condition report so please utilize the zoom feature which will magnify any wear significantly more than what is visible to the eye while wearing : )
