ABOUT:
Wonderful and unique antique stud earrings in 14k gold. Each one holds three old mine cut diamonds, about .6 carat per earring for a total weight of 1.2 carats. The ear posts are situated to the middle of the earring, so these can be worn north south, or east west. The buttery glowing 14k gold has a braided rope outline to the oval shape.
Would be a beautiful something old for a bride. Each of the cushion cut antique diamonds are propped up in prongs to catch the light and display beauty from all angles.
No hallmarks remain but sold to me as 14k from a reputable antique dealer and tested to confirm.

SIZE & MEASUREMENTS:
Each center stone is about 4mm with the flanking diamonds at 3 to 3.5mm cushion cuts. They are nice, chunky cuts with higher crowns and deep pavilions. About .6 carat per earrings for a combined weight of 1.2ctw for the pair. They weigh 4.7 grams. The oval setting holding the diamonds are about 15mm by 7.5mm and the diamonds stand 4.5mm off the earlobe measuring from the top of the diamonds to the underside of the rope setting.
IMPORTANT CONDITION NOTES:
As with all my pieces these are in estate condition. One worn prong here or there but all the stones are very secure. The diamonds are excellent with no nicks, chips or dark spots. They are typical antique stones with a very slight warmth, and some faint, frosty natural inclusions or specks, slightly eye visible if you are seeking them out. These were cut long before the 4 C's scales for mathematically perfect machine cuts stones were invented. The push backs are sturdy. The gold is beautiful and it is a very sweet pair. But as with all my pre-owned pieces - Please note this is not a mint condition item.
