ABOUT:

Can't ever get enough gypsy bands and this is a fun one with center blue glowing cabochon sapphire flanked by lines of carre cut green stones, three on each side.  French retro vintage piece with a chunky domed setting.  Sturdy piece in 14k solid gold with a fun pop of contrasting color and still stackable.  It was sold to me as emerald and sapphire but the green stones aren't testing as such for me so I am listing it as green paste (meant to look like emeralds) to be safe.

The sapphire has a nice true blue color with the contrasting green.  And the piece offers geometry with the oval center stone and the linear green shoulders.

Hallmarked on the back of the shank with goldsmith stamp and French mark for 14k gold.  

Antique box not included. Please note the measurements as I have small fingers and it can be difficult to determine scale from pictures. 

MEASUREMENTS:
The ring is a size 7 1/4.

The ring face is 10.5mm north south and 5.4mm off the finger.
The ring weight is 6 grams.  

The sapphire is about 8.5x7mm.

IMPORTANT CONDITION NOTES:
The back of the shank is slightly out of round and a bit rippled, slightly thinner and blunt but definitely still stable.  It is not really evident while wearing but there is a seam where you can see the piece was sized in the past, and it may have occurred when the piece was heated for second hand stamping.

Some surface scratches can catch the light due to the mirrored finish of the domed gold.  Some nibbles and abrasions to the green stone facets, but they are small so this is seen more under magnification.  The sapphire is in really great shape with a wonderful color and polish, no nicks or chips so it appears nice and glossy with a true blue glow from within.  The sapphire  moves slightly and can "click" when you tap it but with a sturdy bezel it is in no danger of falling out.

Please note that all my pieces are pre-owned and in estate condition.  They will have patina, surface wear, a few small nicks.  These pieces may also have evidence of a sizing, some build up around the stones and / or inclusions seen under magnification, typical for antique pieces.  I have mentioned any noticeable issues above and they are all still wearable and eager to be loved and accepted for many years to come, (the preservation of antique jewelry, even those with signs of their age and history, is important to me. : )  There are no dark spots to the gold, it was just difficult to photograph because it is so shiny and mirrored that it reflects its surroundings including the green trees out the window.  
But - Please note due to age, this piece is not in mint condition.  Pictures also serve as part of the description and condition report so please utilize the zoom feature which will magnify any wear significantly more than what is visible to the eye while wearing : )
