ABOUT:
Unique and extra sturdy French vintage ring in 18k gold. The tall and glowing setting props up a flat cut heart shaped amethyst that displays a beautiful lavender color.
Eye catching size and form that adds a fun shape and color to a ring stack. The inside of the shank has a pebble texture finish at the shoulders and inside the ring face, not visible when wearing.
Found in Paris. French hallmark or 18k gold with a maker's stamp.
Please note the measurements as I have small fingers and the pictures can make it difficult to see scale.
Antique box is not included.
SIZE & MEASUREMENTS:
Size: 8 1/4. It is 13mm north to south on the finger and stands 5.8mm tall off the finger.
The piece weighs a sturdy 9.25g. The amethyst is 8x.9mm
IMPORTANT CONDITION NOTES:
Two nicks to the underside of the stone appearing to have been done during fabrication, only seen when looking through the stone, the top is perfectly polished and glossy with no damage. The gold is a glowing high shine as well, seems hardly worn.
There are no dark spots to the gold, it was just difficult to photograph because it is so shiny and mirrored that it reflects its surroundings.
Please note that all my pieces are pre-owned and in estate condition. They will have patina, surface wear, a few small nicks. These pieces may also have evidence of a sizing, some build up around the stones and / or inclusions seen under magnification, typical for antique pieces. I have mentioned any noticeable issues above and they are all still wearable and eager to be loved and accepted for many years to come, (the preservation of antique jewelry, even those with signs of their age and history, is important to me. : )
But - Please note due to age, this piece is not in mint condition. Pictures also serve as part of the description and condition report so please utilize the zoom feature which will magnify any wear significantly more than what is visible to the eye while wearing : )
